Honda is to give a big design update for new features, more premium elements, and a trendier SUV look. Honda is gearing up to elevate the SUV with a major styling and feature update as the SUV is all set to receive its first facelift since its launch in India in 2023. The 2024 Honda Elevate facelift will be launched in India on October 6, and pre-bookings are already underway for 21,000. India is the first country to get the refreshed SUV. The facelift aims to give the Elevate a more modern and premium image.

A sharper face gives the Elevate a new look

Significant visual updates are likely to be in front of the vehicle. Here there are teaser images of faceted LED daytime running lamps that link the lamps, as well as a fresh-looking blacked-out grille with a honeycomb-type design. The headlight logo has also been repositioned from the grille to the bonnet. Expect a connected LED tail lamp set at the rear for the SUV as well, to make it appear a little more modern. These updates might make the Elevate seem a little more modern than the existing design language.

The cabin is on a voyage to a more luxurious experience

Honda has been focusing on the inside as well. One of the new shots on the refreshed dashboard reveals more soft-touch leatherette touchpoints, as well as lighter upholstery and refreshed trim strips. Ambient lighting also remains, which further modernizes the space.  The updates on the facelift won’t just be restricted to cosmetic tweaks; it is expected to plug some of the feature deficits that have become apparent compared with newer competition. Power ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and rear sunblinds are some of the items rumored to make it on the list, though the full feature list will be known at launch.

Familiar engine, fresher overall package

But the facelift is likely to be more on the design, features, and cabin upgrades rather of a change in mechanicals. It is rumored that the existing 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol might continue, delivering 121 hp and 145 Nm, while the 6-speed manual and 7-speed CVT options will likely be retained. This approach makes it possible for Honda to give a new look and feature set to the SUV without touching the mechanical package that already underpins the Elevate.

A more competitive Elevate for the holidays

That the timing of the facelift is interesting, with Honda getting ready to launch the revised SUV just in time for the holiday season. Honda has started taking bookings for the Elevate and seems to be pitching the new Elevate as the feature loaded and more handsome version of its current SUV. The more chiseled exterior, refreshed cabin and array of anticipated feature updates could help Honda Elevate facelift punch above its weight and further bolster the company’s midsize SUV portfolio. Honda Elevate facelift details, full range and pricing will be announced when Honda launches the facelifted SUV on 6 October.
