Raghav Chadha Early Life and Professional Roots

Raghav Chadha: Born in the late 1980s, Raghav Chadha was raised in Delhi and completed his graduation from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. He went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant, a credential that shaped his analytical approach to governance. Before entering politics full-time, Chadha worked with reputed consulting and audit firms, gaining experience in regulatory systems, public finance, and institutional processes. This professional exposure later became a cornerstone of his political identity.

Entry Into Politics and AAP Rise

Raghav Chadha: entered public life at a relatively young age during the anti-corruption movement that led to the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party. In his early twenties, he contributed to drafting the Delhi Lokpal Bill, working closely with senior party leaders. His clarity on policy issues and confident television debates quickly made him one of AAP’s youngest national spokespersons.

In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Chadha won the Rajendra Nagar seat, strengthening his political standing. Two years later, he was nominated to the Rajya Sabha from Punjab, becoming one of India’s youngest MPs in the Upper House.

Governance Experience and Parliamentary Role

As vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board, Chadha was associated with efforts to improve water supply infrastructure and address river pollution concerns. In Parliament, he has been part of committees linked to finance and economic oversight, where he has raised issues related to public spending efficiency, infrastructure costs, and consumer impact.

A New-Generation Political Figure

Chadha often positions himself as an advocate for merit-based politics, questioning dynastic dominance and identity-driven leadership. His marriage to actor Parineeti Chopra in 2023 further amplified his public visibility, especially among younger audiences, placing him at the intersection of politics and popular culture.
