Hpv Vaccination Drive: In a large-scale public health initiative, the Government of India has rolled out a 90-day special immunisation program for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) to target nearly 1.2 crores of eligible beneficiaries in the country. The program will be executed mainly through Ayushman Arogya Mandir and other government health facilities.
The program is a part of the overall preventive healthcare plan in India to cut down cervical cancer cases, which still remain one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among women in the country.

HPV is the main cause of cervical cancer. The government has planned to develop long-term immunity among adolescents by increasing the coverage of vaccination, especially among girls belonging to the target age group.

Through this initiative, the government hopes to ensure smooth logistics, cold chain management, and effective vaccine delivery at the grassroots level.
