Skoda India has also officially published a teaser of the 2026 Kushaq facelift, which will be launched in January 2026. The revised mid-size SUV preview reflects the exterior modifications and the increase in features meant to get the Kushaq on par with other current competitors in the segment.
Refreshed Exterior Design
The teaser image depicts design changes at both the front and back of the Kushaq within subtle but noticeable design changes. Upgraded headlights, with linked daytime running lights (DRLs) provide the front fascia with a contemporary appearance, and the back fascia a newly lit SKODA wordmark and new lamp units. Such modifications represent a developing design language of Skoda in its line of SUVs.
Rich Interior Expectations Bears Features.
Even though the interior, in the teaser, was not completely shown, spy reports suggest that higher variants of the facelifted Kushaq will probably have a panoramic sunroof, updated graphics to the digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen, and a better air-conditioning system. It is also expected to have a rear-seat massage feature on some trims, which improves the comfort of the passenger.
Artificial Intelligence-based Safety and Support.
One of the major changes that the 2026 model will bring is Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Such technologies used in this suite are adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking. Also a 360 degree camera system will be anticipated which will help in parking and maneuvering with better vision. These systems make use of sensor and camera inputs to enable safer driving.
Powertrain and Launch Schedule.
The facelift will have the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol which will be accompanied by the existing gearbox choices at launch. Future 2026 plans are to launch a new 8-speed automatic transmission which is more economical. The renovated SUV is set to be launched in India in January 2026.
A facelift of the Skoda Kushaq (2026) was shown in the Skoda Kushaq teaser and features a new design, larger range of technologies such as Level-2 ADAS and camera, and comfort improvements such as a panoramic sunroof and new digital displays. Updating these will help Skoda enhance the attractiveness of the Kushaq to a competitive midsize SUV in the market prior to its release in January 2026.
